On March 30, 2009, the non-profit organization Rebuilding Together Atlanta (RTA) in partnership with Chick-fil-A, Beazer Homes, and 94.9 The Bull, will host their first annual golf tournament. Held at the Northwood Country Club in Lawrenceville, the event promises to be an exciting one. Golfers from all over Metro Atlanta have signed up to participate in the tournament that features a hole-in-one contest, raffles, great prizes, a barbeque cookout, and a silent auction. Even those who are not golfing experts can enjoy a fun day of charity golf with the scramble format.
All proceeds benefit Rebuilding Together Atlanta, an organization that works to assure that low-income homeowners, particularly older adults, people with disabilities and veterans, live in warmth, safety, and independence. Through the use of volunteers and sponsors, as well as fundraising events such as this tournament, RTA is able to carry out its mission of preserving and revitalizing homes and communities at no cost to the homeowner.
“Rebuilding Together- Atlanta is committed to making an impact on the city’s housing needs, and we are approaching it community by community,” said Jan Jordan, Executive Director. “We’ve found that when you strengthen a community, you strengthen the life source of every home in it. We’re excited to be partnering with Chick-fil-A, Beazer Homes, and 94.9 The Bull on this event.”
